AUSMAH Develops Digital Twin System for Offshore Drilling Equipment

AUSMAH has introduced a digital twin platform that creates real-time virtual models of offshore drilling equipment, allowing engineers to monitor performance and predict maintenance needs remotely.
The system pulls continuous sensor data from physical equipment and mirrors it in a virtual environment, making it possible to simulate stress scenarios and flag potential failures before they occur. Company engineers say the approach has already helped identify wear patterns in valve assemblies that would have been difficult to detect through traditional inspection schedules.
“Being able to see a piece of equipment’s entire operating history and current condition in one place changes how we approach maintenance planning,” said a lead engineer on the project.
